More than 65 lakh names have been removed from the draft voter list prepared under SIR in Bihar. All the opposition parties, including the Congress, are doubting this process of the Election Commission and are opposing it. The Congress has accused the BJP of ‘vote theft’. Now the Congress is going to organize a ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Quit’ rally across the country on August 14, a day before Independence Day. The rally will be held on August 14 at 8 pm in every district of the country.

The ruling party is “stealing votes”- Congress

The Congress alleges that the ruling party is “stealing votes” and the Election Commission is not paying attention to it. After this nationwide rally, the Congress will also run a nationwide signature campaign from 15 September to 16 October. Under this, a memorandum will be signed by five crore people and will be handed over to the Election Commission.

Protests will start across the country from 14 August

Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had a meeting of general secretaries and in -charge at the party headquarters in Delhi. This decision was then taken. He informed that on August 14, a night march will be taken out all over India. The rally will be held in every district from 8 pm from 8 pm. After this, from August 21 to September 7, ‘Vote thieves, Gaddi Quit’ rallies will be taken out at the state level. A major signature campaign will be conducted from 15 September to 15 October. This will also be the same slogan.

Congress MP Venugopal said

The party will take this protest to the ground level in the country. He alleged that the Election Commission is supporting the government. We have decided to take mass action on this issue. We will take it to the ground level among the people of India. It is now clear that the Election Commission is supporting the government in stealing votes. “

Accused of weakening the role of voters

Congress MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that the Election Commission is “destroying” democracy in India. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of weakening the role of voters. He said, “The way the Election Commission is working is working towards destroying India’s democracy. We have to face them. BJP wants the Election Commission and we used to choose democracy. Earlier voters used to choose governments. Now the government has started choosing voters. If they have conscience, they should leave the post themselves.” There is no response from the BJP on the allegations of the Congress so far. But it is certain that politics will be even more hot on this issue in the coming days.
