Porsche Brings The 992.2 Carrera 4S To The Range, Sadly No Manual On This One

The Carrera 4S has always been an important model in the 911 range. According to Porsche, nearly half of the Carrera S buyers go for the AWD model and Porsche has finally added the Carrera 4S to the range in the 992.2 generation of the 911. This will sit between the regular Carrera and the GTS and is available in coupe, cabriolet and targa forms.

The 4S adds on to the Carrera S model with just the addition of AWD and a lot of standard equipment. The S models feature a 3.0L twin turbocharged flat six which produces 473 bhp. With The Carrera 4S, 0-100 kmph happens in 3.3 seconds which is mighty quick for what is the mid-range model for the 911. The Carrera 4S only comes with one transmission option which is the 8-speed PDK and sadly there is no manual on this one.

As far as equipment goes, there are matrix LED headlights, the 4S also gets a sports exhaust system with silver tailpipes, upgraded brakes from the previous generation of the GTS, and revised dampers. Porsche has also made some of the options standard and the  4S comes with extended leather trim. The Coupe can be had with just two seats but getting the rear seats added is a no cost option. The cabriolet and targa come with the 2+2 seating configuration regardless.

Porsche has already started taking orders for the 911 Carrera 4S in the states. Deliveries should begin later this year. Pricing has not been revealed yet but it should be a tad more expensive than the C2S.
