Premanand Ji Maharaj Teachings: We often face this contradiction in life. On one hand, there is a person who spends hours engrossed in worship, charity and devotion to God, but still struggles with difficulties and struggles. On the other hand, there are some people who do not perform any kind of worship or religious rituals, yet they achieve immense success, wealth and prosperity in material life. This situation often creates disappointment and doubt in the minds of devotees.
This is the question that a curious person recently asked during a private conversation with Saint Premanand Maharaj of Vrindavan. The person said that some people do not even do worship, yet why do they become so successful? The answer given by Premanand Maharaj to this mysterious question not only explains the science of religion but also inspires every person to maintain faith in the principle of karma.
Premanand Maharaj’s answer
Answering the person’s question, Premanand Maharaj clarified that the basic reason behind the people who appear successful and happy without any religious rituals is ‘Prarabdha’, i.e. the result of the deeds of our previous births.
Premanand Maharaj explained the law of karma in simple words
Current basis of success: Every person experiences the fruits of his deeds in his previous births in this birth. People who may be doing wrong things or not doing any kind of worship at present, but if there is still a store of good deeds done by them in their previous births, then they are enjoying comfort, success and material happiness now on the strength of the same destiny.
Permanent account of deeds: Premanand Maharaj explains that when the results (Prarabh) of the good deeds of their previous births will end, and the time will come for the bad deeds they are doing in the present, then they too will definitely have to suffer the consequences. The account of karma is permanent and no one can escape from it.

Premanand Maharaj also threw light on the opposite situation, which often disturbs the minds of devotees.
Struggling Devotee: He said that on the contrary, some good and religious people, who chant the name with full devotion, perform puja and perform virtuous deeds, sometimes also go through difficulties and sorrows.
Effect of past bad deeds: The reason for this is that they are currently earning virtue, but the ‘destiny’ of their bad deeds done in their previous lives is still going on, which is preventing them from getting the immediate results of their present devotion.
Premanand Maharaj’s advice to devotees
Premanand Maharaj gave the biggest advice to the devotees at such a time and said that one should not be disappointed in such a situation. He said that this time of sorrow and struggle is not permanent. That is the result of past bad deeds which will definitely come to an end.
Once the account of bad deeds is settled, then the fruits of good deeds (pious deeds) and devotion currently being performed will be received with full force. Then they will definitely get the results of their devotion and work in the form of success, peace and God’s grace. Therefore keep chanting the name of God.
