New Delhi: Paytm has introduced a new privacy-orientated feature, namely ‘Hide Payments’, the first UPI app in India to provide this feature. The option allows users to hide any transactions they choose in their primary payment history and is a more personalised and discrete experience. According to Paytm, this feature was added because of the increasing demand among users that share devices, shop for sensitive purchases, or just wish to have greater control over how their financial activity is shown.
The concealed transactions are never deleted or changed. They are safe and may be viewed at any point of time in a secured area within the app. Having this update, Paytm is thus seeking to enhance the level of transparency and security in addition to providing its users with greater control over their digital footprint.
How to hide a payment on Paytm
- Open the Paytm application and visit the Balance and History section.
- You can swipe left on the payment you would like to hide.
- Hide is an option that should be tapped.
- Check and select Yes, Hide Payment.
- The transaction you have chosen will no longer show up in your history.
How to unhide a Payment
- Go to the Balance and History section of the app.
- Click the three-dot button in the upper-right.
- Select ‘View Hidden Payments’.
- Insert PIN or full biometric identification into your phone.
- On the transaction, swipe left and tap ‘Unhide’.
- The payment will take you back to your main history.
