Ingredients for making Hajmola

One and a half teaspoon celery, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon fennel, 1 teaspoon black pepper, one and a half teaspoon black salt, half teaspoon normal white salt, 3 teaspoon dry mango powder, 1 teaspoon jaggery powder or a small piece of jaggery, 3 teaspoon water, 1 teaspoon oil, two pinches of cornflour, if sweet, sugar powder for coating. How to make Hajmola?

To make Hajmola at home, take celery, cumin, fennel, black pepper, i.e. all the whole spices together. Dry roast these spices in a pan until aroma comes out. After this let it cool for 5 minutes. Now put all the spices in the grinder and also add 4 spoons of water. Now grind all these things together. After making fine powder, add black salt, white salt, jaggery, mango powder and grind it once again. If you want, you can also add two pinches of asafoetida in it. In this way a sticky paste will be prepared.

Apply some oil to the prepared spice paste in your hands and make it into a roti-like ball. Now put some corn flour on a flat surface and roll it out, but keep it a little thick, do not roll it out thin. After this, take a small cutter or with the help of a sharp small lid and cut the tablets. After cutting all the balls in this manner, put them in the oven for some time so that they become hard. In this way your Hajmola will be ready. If you want sweet taste along with sourness then coat all the pills in sugar powder and then store them in an airtight jar.
