After this, King Janak consulted many sages, sages and scholars. Everyone advised King Janak that to please nature, the king should perform a special yagya. King Janak was also told that after the Yagya, to please Lord Indra, he should plow the field with his own hands and touch the field. After this, King Janak followed the advice and prepared for the yagya.

The Yagya was started and completed with great devotion. Then King Janak took the golden plow and descended himself to plow it on dry land. They were slowly plowing the field, when suddenly the tip of the plow hit some hard object and stopped. King Janak was shocked. He ordered that the place where the plow hit be dug up. When the soil was removed, a shining trunk was found there.

When the box was opened, there was a newborn girl in it, who was shining with supernatural light and was extremely beautiful. As soon as he saw that girl, King Janak realized that this girl was the incarnation of Supreme Power. As soon as King Janak took the girl in his lap, the sky became cloudy and suddenly it started raining heavily.

That’s why she was named Sita

Due to this, the drought of Mithila land ended and the land became green. King Janak and his queen Sunaina had no children. He accepted this girl as his daughter. Since he got this girl by touching the tip of the plough, King Janak named her Sita.
