Describing the party’s reduction to just 25 seats in the Bihar elections as its worst electoral performance so far, Rohini had said that those who were considering themselves Chanakya were responsible for this. Lalu Yadav’s second daughter Rohini Acharya is a doctor by profession. He contested the Lok Sabha elections from Saran in 2024, where he lost to BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy. Rohini’s husband Samaresh Singh is also a doctor and they have three children. She lives in Singapore with her family.
