Why celebrate Geeta Jayanti?

Although there are many great texts in Hindu religion, apart from the 4 Vedas, there are also 18 Puranas, but in all these, only the birth anniversary of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is celebrated. There is a special reason hidden behind this, that is that all these texts have been written by some sage but Geeta is the only text which has been preached by Lord Krishna himself. That is why Geeta is also called a pearl that came out of the ocean like Mahabharata. Geeta shows the right path to the entire mankind.

Why did Lord Krishna preach Geeta?

According to the Mahabharata, when the war between the Pandavas and the Kauravas was decided and the armies of both the sides came face to face, Arjun became sad after seeing his relatives, that is, he refused to fight. Then Lord Shri Krishna preached him about karma and prepared him to fight against unrighteousness. Lord Shri Krishna gave this advice not only to Arjun but to the entire human race. Scholars believe that the solution to every problem of human beings is hidden in the verses of Geeta, all that is needed is to understand it.
