Fog, cold and strong winds… weather changed in UP, know how the next week will be

Severe cold has arrived in Uttar Pradesh before time. IMD has issued cold wave alert in 29 districts. The temperature has gone below 10 degrees in many districts. Kanpur was the coldest with 7.6 degrees. Be cautious of fog and cold.

The sudden shiver in the weather of Uttar Pradesh has now knocked directly into the houses. The cold that people wait for in December and January has arrived this time in the first half of November. The weather is changing as if nature has increased its speed. Between the mild sunlight in the morning and the increasing chill at night, UP now seems to be in the grip of cold. The Meteorological Department has given a clear warning that if you do not remove the quilt now, you may have to repent.

Cold wave alert in 29 districts, temperature continuously falling

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of cold wave conditions in 29 districts of Uttar Pradesh. In many districts the temperature has suddenly dropped rapidly, and the cold has started reaching its peak at night. The minimum temperature in Kanpur on Saturday dropped below 8 degrees and recorded 7.6 degrees Celsius. This is considered extremely unusual in this season. The sunshine may be providing relief during the day, but as soon as the sun sets, the cold winds become shivering.

Snowfall on the mountains and north-westerly winds became the reason

According to Lucknow Meteorological Center, snow has started falling on the mountains. This snowfall is intensifying the north-westerly winds, which are directly increasing the cold in the plains of UP. More than 10 districts of the state recorded temperatures below 10 degrees on Saturday night. The day temperature also remained below 24 degrees Celsius, due to which the effect of coolness was felt in the entire state.

Cold wave is most likely to occur in these districts

The effect of cold wave is spreading rapidly. The districts for which the Meteorological Department has issued a warning include: Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Sitapur, Amethi, Unnao, Hardoi, Kanpur Dehat, Auraiya, Etawah, Mainpuri, Rae Bareli, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kanpur Nagar, Firozabad, Agra, Mathura, Shravasti, Bahraich, Gonda, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Fatehpur, Etah, Kannauj, Shahjahanpur, Farrukhabad and Badaun. Cold wave has started in these districts and it is likely to increase in other places also in the next three days.

So cold in November after ten years, why is concern increased?

Meteorologists say that this year the premature arrival of cold is very unusual. Such severe winter is usually seen in December and January. But after almost a decade, it is getting so cold in November itself that people have to take out the quilts. The sky is expected to remain clear in the capital Lucknow this week, due to which the day temperature may go up to 28 degrees, but there are full indications of the minimum temperature going below 10 degrees.

Danger of fog also increased

The Meteorological Department has also said that there is a possibility of dense fog from late night till morning. This may affect road and rail traffic. Therefore, passengers have been advised to take special precautions.
