BTS ARMY documentary Forever We Are Young release date, how to book tickets and more

New Delhi: A limited theatrical release has been confirmed for Forever We Are Young, a fan-created documentary chronicling BTS’ meteoric rise through the eyes of their global fandom. The film had its world premiere earlier this year at the 2025 South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival in Austin, Texas, and will be screened worldwide on July 30.

Directed by award-winning filmmakers Grace Lee and Patty Ahn, the feature-length project explores the unparalleled bond between BTS and their fandom, known as ARMY—short for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth. Through heartfelt fan testimonials, archival footage, and cultural commentary, the film traces the South Korean supergroup’s journey from humble beginnings to international stardom.

How to book tickets for BTS ARMY documentary Forever We Are Young?

It was revealed that ticket bookings for Forever We Are Young will go live from Friday, July 2, via the official website btsarmymovie.com. Additional updates, along with posters and global screening information, are expected to be made available on the platform in the coming days. Distributed by Trafalgar Releasing, the film will be screened on a limited number of screens, though the anticipation among fans suggests a global event in the making.

“There is no BTS without ARMY and no ARMY without BTS,” the directors were quoted. Rather than focusing solely on the seven-member band, the narrative has been framed to celebrate the community that propelled them to the top.

The film has already garnered emotional responses from early viewers. At SXSW, Forever We Are Young received multiple standing ovations, with audience members reportedly moved by the sincerity and depth of the fan experiences showcased. Whether BTS themselves are aware of the documentary remains unclear, and it is not known if any of the members plan to view it.

Nonetheless, the release of Forever We Are Young continues the tradition of BTS-centric movie offerings such as Burn the Stage: The Movie, Bring the Soul, and Break the Silence. These releases, along with solo member documentaries and concert films, have long served as a unique bridge between the band and their expansive global following.
