Babar has been going through a tough time in his career, and even after losing his captaincy across formats, the senior batter is way away from getting back his consistency. He managed to score 9 runs in the all-important third ODI match. He ended the series with just 56 runs under his belt in three innings at an average of 18.67.
Pakistan were off to a horrible start in their run chase after the West Indies posted a massive total of 294/6 in their 50 overs. Their young opener Saim Ayub departed for 0 in just the third ball of the innings. Babar joined Abdullah Shafique in the middle and hit a boundary to set the nerves. However, the visitors suffered a double blow as Jayden Seales removed both Shafique (0) and skipper Mohammad Rizwan (0) in the third over, putting more pressure on Babar.

The former skipper stayed at the crease for eight overs and played 23 balls before Seales trapped him in front, reducing Pakistan to 23/4.

Babar headed into the series decider on the back of a 0 in the previous match, and Pakistan needed their senior batter to deliver. However, the whole top order collapsed with Jayden Seales taking a remarkable five-for for the West Indies.

Earlier in the third ODI, West Indies skipper Shai Hope produced a magnificent effort with the bat and smashed his 18th ODI century to give his side an early upper hand. He played an unbeaten knock of 120 runs in 94 balls on the back of 10 fours and five sixes.
