Relief from rain in UP but danger of lightning falls

Many districts including Lucknow have recorded a drop of about 4 degrees in temperature due to rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding lightning, so people have been advised to be vigilant.
Possibility of lightning fall with heavy rains
There is a possibility of thunderstorms in Meerut, Shamli and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Fast showers are expected to occur in Agra, Aligarh, Mathura and surrounding areas. People have been advised to be vigilant.
Monsoon active in Bihar
Most of the districts are cloudy due to monsoon in Bihar and there is light rain at some places. Patna and surrounding areas may receive thunderstorms in the next 24 hours.
Travels postponed due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand
The visit of Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib has been stopped till 14 August due to continuous rains in Uttarakhand. The highways have been closed due to landslides in Chamoli and Rudraprayag. Roads were interrupted at many places on Tuesday and passengers had to face trouble.
