Ashwin Kumar’s Animated Epic Eyes Rs 200 Crore In India Despite Sluggish Third Week

Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Collection Day 19: The legendary animated epic Mahavatar Narsimha, directed by Ashwin Kumar, is setting new standards for Indian animation while continuing its remarkable run at the box office. Since its July 25, 2025, theatrical debut, the movie has continued to gain traction, drawing viewers in a variety of languages and forms. The movie, which was released in 2D and 3D in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, shows how the home market is becoming more and more interested in high-quality animated narrative.

Mahavatar Narsimha slowed down as the third work week began. On Monday, the movie brought in Rs 5.25 crore, but on Tuesday, its earnings increased slightly to Rs 6 crore. The 19-day total of the animated epic is an astounding Rs 180.90 crore. The devotional animated actioner is probably going to hit the Rs 200 crore mark very soon if it can keep up its momentum. Mahavatar Narsimha has demonstrated that animated content can generate substantial financial success for Indian cinema.

About Mahavatar Narsimha

Hombale Films has returned with a brand-new film, this time aimed at a wider demographic of viewers, following the box office success of Pan-India releases such as KGF and Kantara. Under Ashwin Kumar’s direction, Mahavatar Narsimha, India’s first massive 3D animated mythological epic, has gone viral online. Fearlessly embracing one of the most potent stories in Hindu mythology—the violent incarnation of Lord Vishnu as Narasimha—the Tamil-language film has a strong spiritual reverence foundation.

Three Puranas—the Vishnu Purana, the Narasimha Purana, and the Shrimad Bhagavata Purana—were the inspiration for Ashwin Kumar’s most recent work, Mahavatar Narasimha. The makers of this two-hour and twenty-one-minute animated film have not only reenacted the tale of good overcoming evil, but they have also imparted important moral teachings.
