The Board of Control for Cricket in India has given information about Gill’s exclusion. While sharing on social media, BCCI wrote that he will remain under the supervision of the medical team for the time being. Now he is not going to be seen on the field in Kolkata Test. This update was given to the fans even before the start of the third day’s play.
Gill got injured while batting on the second day
There was stiffness in Shubman Gill’s garden on the second day of the Kolkata Test. This problem occurred during his batting, after which the medical team came and immediately examined him. Coming to bat in the first innings, Utrange sent the very third ball outside the boundary line to the square, but during this time he felt some problem in his garden. Gill seemed to be in a lot of pain, after which the physio team came to the field. The physio examined his injury thoroughly and then took him out if things did not look good.

Gill retired hurt after scoring only 4 runs
When Indian captain Shubman Gill retired hurt due to neck problem and went out of the field, he was batting after scoring only four runs.
