Big revelation in the investigation of Red Fort explosion – two doctors associated with Al-Falah University and another person in custody. Two FIRs registered on irregularities report of UGC-NAAC. Investigation of funding, fertilizer purchase, mosque records and CCTV of ‘white collar terrorist module’ intensified.
New Delhi. Many days have passed since the massive explosion that took place near the Red Fort in Delhi, but the investigation related to this blast is taking new turns every hour. This was not just a road accident or a sudden blast—investigative agencies have found clues to a network here, which officials are calling a ‘white-collar terrorist module’. The people involved in this module are not like ordinary criminals, but are said to be educated, respected in the society and working in high positions.
Two doctors associated with Al-Falah University, Mohammed and Mustaqeem, and another person have been detained as part of the same investigation. A total of 13 people have died in the blast, and the NIA has now taken over the case. What has come to light in this whole matter? Who are the people behind this module? And in which direction is the investigation moving? Let us understand the whole story in simple language-
Why were two FIRs registered against Al-Falah University simultaneously?
During the investigation into the blast, police learned that the UGC and NAAC had found several “major irregularities” in the functioning of Al-Falah University.
On this basis:
- Fraud
- forgery
- fake documents
Two separate FIRs were registered on the same charges.
The investigation team also reached the Okhla office of the university and seized many documents. The question is arising – are these irregularities directly related to the blast conspiracy?
Who are the two doctors who were detained?
Name of both the detained doctors:
- Dr. Mohammad
- Dr. Mustaqeem
Both are associated with Al-Falah University and knew Dr. Omar Nabi, the driver of the Hyundai i20 car that exploded, very well. According to sources, both these doctors were also in touch with Dr. Muzammil Ganai – who is currently arrested in the “white collar terrorist module” case. Now the investigation team is trying to understand:
- Were doctors part of this conspiracy?
- Were they providing funding, planning or technical support for this?
- Or were they just in touch?
Funding of Rs 26 lakh – where did the real money for the blast come from?
Investigators claim that this module collected approximately Rs 26 lakh, of which Rs 3 lakh was used to purchase NPK fertilizer. NPK fertilizer is usually used in farming, but it also has a role in making improvised bombs (IEDs). This is where the picture became more complicated – because the third detained person, Dinesh alias Dabbu, was selling fertilizer without a license. Now investigation is going on whether Dinesh gave fertilizer directly to the module? Was he just a supplier, or did he have a bigger role in the conspiracy?
Whom did Umar meet? Who did you talk to? Why was the route changed?
Several CCTV footages have been found during the investigation:
- Faridabad footage: Where Umar was seen taking out a mobile from a bag and talking to someone about charging it.
- Footage of Red Fort Metro Station: At the time of the explosion the station is seen shaking and people panic.
- Questioning the tea seller of Wazirpur: Omar had stopped for 10–15 minutes at a tea stall in Wazirpur Industrial Area just before the blast. The police interrogated the same tea seller. The salesman said that he does not pay attention to every customer.
- Records sought from the mosque: Similarly, the police have also sought records from the mosque on Asaf Ali Road, where Omar was seen a few hours before the blast. Besides, the Imam of a mosque in Faridabad, who is said to be close to Muzammil, was also interrogated. The investigation team is trying to understand which places Umar went to before the blast? Whom did you meet? Did he receive any final instructions or equipment here?
Does investigation of mosques, tenants and shops point to terror connections?
Faridabad Police report is shocking –
- Investigation of 140 mosques
- Verification of 1,700 tenants
- Check 40 fertilizer-seed shops
- Investigation of 200 hotels-guesthouses
- Verification of 500+ Kashmiris
Such a huge investigation now indicates that the agencies are not looking at it as just a single blast, but as a detailed terrorist module.
3 hours in Sunehri Masjid parking – what did the car do?
- The blasted car was parked continuously for three hours in the Sunehri Masjid parking lot.
- The police have recorded the number, time, owner details of every vehicle that came there.
What is NIA doing now? Where is the direction of investigation going?
NIA has taken the case under UAPA and now this investigation:
- funding network
- fertilizer supply chain
- doctors’ connections
- Suspicious activities of the university
- Relationship between Umar and Ganai
- It is moving forward by connecting everyone.
The investigation of the Red Fort blast is now in the hands of the three agencies Delhi Police, Special Cell and NIA. Every day new names, new locations and new connections are coming to light. As simple as this matter seemed, it is proving to be equally complex and mysterious. There may be many more big revelations in the coming days.
