We all have heard such stories in which it is said that the curse given by someone comes true. Now a similar story is being heard again and again in the politics of Bihar. A video about former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav is going viral on social media.
Many people are claiming that Tejashwi was “cursed” and the curse was given by RJD’s rebel leader Madan Shah.
Who is Madan Shah?
Madan Shah was once considered a strong local leader of RJD in Madhuban assembly constituency. He had contested elections from here in 2020 and was confident that he would be given the ticket in 2025 also. Years of activism in the party, continuous hard work in the local level network. For all these reasons his claim was considered strong. But this time the story changed. Someone got the ticket. The anger started from here which brought a new turn in the politics of Bihar.
Anger erupted over ticket cancellation
After not getting the ticket, Madan Shah went straight to Lalu Prasad Yadav’s residence. In front of the media cameras, he became emotional, cried loudly, protested by lying down on the road, and even tore his kurta in anger. He alleged that the ticket had been “sold for more than two crores”.
Tejashwi was cursed
Madan Shah had said on camera that this time RJD will not win more than 25 seats. It will be bad for Tejashwi. When the election results came, RJD got exactly 25 seats. Then what was the old video of Madan Shah spread like wildfire, people started linking it with “prophecy” or “curse”.
Historic victory of NDA
On the other hand, the results were historic for NDA. NDA got 202 seats. BJP performed brilliantly with 95 seats.
JDU got 85 seats, LJP (Ram Vilas) 19, HAM 5, RLM 4 seats. Whereas the grand alliance was reduced to 35 seats.
RJD got 25 seats, Congress 6, Left got 4 seats, VIP’s account was not even opened.
Was there really a ‘curse’?
Political experts say that many factors like land equations, candidate selection and local resentment were responsible for the results. But in the internet world, Madan Shah’s video has spread like a mysterious story and he is more in the news than Tejashwi.
