Speaking to the media at Patna airport, Rohini alleged that she was thrown out of the family by some prominent members of the RJD leadership. He said, ‘I have no family. You ask Tejashwi Yadav, Sanjay Yadav and Rameez. These people threw me out of the family.

Rohini, wife of a Singapore businessman and a doctor by profession, had earlier written in a post on social media platform X (Twitter) that she was leaving politics and leaving the family. She said, ‘Sanjay Yadav and Rameez asked me to do this… and I am taking all the responsibility.’ He further said that some leaders in RJD are not ready to take responsibility. This statement of Rohini highlights the deep differences between the party and the family. His brother Tej Pratap Yadav has already been ousted from both the family and the party due to personal disputes.

What did Rohini allege?
RJD MP Sanjay Yadav is considered close to Rohini Acharya’s brother Tejashwi Yadav, while Rameez Alam is an old friend of Tejashwi and comes from a political background in Uttar Pradesh. Rohini told the media that the leaders named on her behalf humiliated her and threw her out of the family. This statement came soon after the defeat of the Grand Alliance in Bihar elections. In the election, RJD got 25 seats, CPI(ML) got 2 seats, Bharatiya Samaj Party and CPI(M) got one seat each. At the same time, BJP became the largest party and topped the elections with 89 seats, while its ally JDU got 85 seats.
