Tribal Pride Day 2025: PM Modi and CM Yadav gift 662 CR, Shalini app launched

Prime Minister Modi: Overall development of tribes is our priority

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that tribal heroes sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle and stood strong against the British. He said that it is necessary to make today’s generation aware of the sacrifices of tribal heroes.

The aim of celebrating the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda every year on 15 November as National Tribal Pride Day is to carry forward this tradition. Special focus on tribal languages, education and health

Prime Minister Modi said that tribal languages ​​will be studied and there is a need to learn from the lifestyle related to their culture. He said that sickle cell anemia has been a big challenge in tribal communities and so far 6 crore people have been screened. More than Rs 18 thousand crore has been spent for Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country and admissions in these schools have increased by 60%.

The Prime Minister said that tribal youth have brought glory to the country in sports and other fields. The contribution of a tribal daughter from Madhya Pradesh in the victory of the women’s cricket team is a matter of pride.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav: Tribal heroes lit the flame of Swaraj

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that tribal heroes fought a strong fight against the British rule on the land of Madhya Pradesh. Heroes like Tantya Mama, Bhima Nayak, Shankar Shah-Raghunath Shah, Rani Durgavati fought to protect the forest, water and land.

He told that Birsa Munda sacrificed his life to protect his culture and mother cow.

Gift of development works worth Rs 662 crore for tribal development

The Chief Minister said that 133 development works costing more than Rs 662 crore have been dedicated for tribal welfare.

106 works worth Rs 564 crore were inaugurated and bhumi pujan of 27 works worth Rs 98 crore was done. Also, Shalini App was launched, which will provide information about tribal schemes.

Honoring tribal talents

The Governor and the Chief Minister honored the tribal community on their achievements.

Female cricketer Kranti Gaur was given a check of Rs 1 crore for her excellent performance.

Padmashree Arjun Singh Dhurve, Smt. Fuljhariya Bai, Smt. Ujiaro Bai, Ragini Marco and Srishti Singh were also honored.

Appointment letters were provided to 6 selected candidates of PVTG category.

Naming of hostels and announcement of new recruitments

The Chief Minister announced that all girls hostels and ashrams will be named after the brave queen Durgavati.

Boys hostels will be operated in the name of Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah.

5,000 hostel superintendents will be recruited in the year 2026.

Shalini app launched

Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah said that Shalini App will provide information about tribal schemes directly to the tribal brothers.

The Governor and the Chief Minister inaugurated it.

Traditional welcome and closing of the ceremony

The Governor and the Chief Minister were welcomed wearing tribal costumes and peacock crown.

The program started with Vande Mataram and ended with Jana-Gana-Mana.
