Significance of Utpanna Ekadashi 2025
According to ancient scriptures, on this day the goddess named Ekadashi was born from the body of Lord Vishnu. She defeated the fierce demon Mur who attempted to attack Lord Vishnu while he was in yogic sleep. Pleased with her power, Lord Vishnu named her Ekadashi and granted a boon that anyone who observes this fast with devotion on this date will have all their sins destroyed and will attain liberation.
There are various rituals that can be practised on this day that are spiritually uplifting.
