Devmogra Temple situated in Dediapada of Narmada district is a very famous temple. This temple is dedicated to Pandori Mata. Pandori Mata is considered by the tribal people of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan as their family deity. Therefore, devotees keep coming and going here throughout the day. Why is Devmogra Dham special?
Devmogra Dham is very famous because it is the temple of Kuldevi of the tribal community. When seen from outside, it looks like Pashupatinath temple of Nepal. This temple is the main center of faith and devotion in the lap of nature in the Satpura mountain ranges. Who is Pandori Mata, the family deity of the tribals?
There is a popular story related to Pandori Mata, according to which, thousands of years ago there was a severe famine on the earth. Not only humans but also animals and birds, the problem of food grains and water has arisen. At that time a person named Gorya Kothar started giving food to the people from his granary, but after some time his granary also started becoming empty. Then his daughter Yaha Pandori took the form of Kani-Kansari and took up the task of distributing food. After this there was no reduction in the stock of grains. The tribals accepted Pandori as their family deity and started worshiping her. That’s why this tradition is going on.

Many programs are organized by the tribal community from time to time at Devmogra Dham. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a fair is organized here for 5 days, in which thousands of tribals come to have darshan of their Kuldevi. During this time they keep the new crop in a bamboo basket and dedicate it to the Goddess. Men and women take out a procession wearing colorful clothes, which is called Hob Yatra. Some people come here for darshan after fasting for a month and a quarter. Even on the occasion of Holi, the splendor of this place is worth seeing.
