Bihar 125 Units Free Electricity: Nitish Kumar on Tuesday interacted directly with consumers under 125 units per month. Electricity consumers of all districts attended the event organized through video conferencing.
Patna News: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday interacted directly with consumers after the free power scheme. He interacted with the power consumers of the state through video conferencing from ‘Sankalp’ on Ane Marg. Under the Chief Minister Electricity Consumer Assistance Scheme, now all domestic electricity consumers are being given free electricity up to 125 units per month. Electricity consumers of all districts were added online in Tuesday’s program. Women consumers of Supaul, Nalanda, Muzaffarpur and Gayaji districts interacted with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
‘Will deposit the remaining money of electricity in daughter’s account’
During the dialogue program, Komal Kumari, a resident of Supaul district, thanked the Chief Minister for giving free electricity up to 125 units per month and said that ‘our family is getting great benefit from 125 units of electricity you have done free. We will deposit the money that will be saved in our daughter’s account, which will benefit my daughter in future. Our whole family is very happy with your decision.

‘Will spend money on kitchen and children’
Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, Leela Kumari of Nalanda district said that we thank you wholeheartedly for this decision. Now free electricity saving for 125 units per month will be spent on our kitchen, education of children and health etc. For this, our whole family expresses gratitude to you wholeheartedly.

Our electricity bill is zero
Gudiya Khatoon, a resident of Muzaffarpur district, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that ‘You were already giving subsidy on electricity. Now you are giving us free electricity for 125 units per month, for this our whole family expresses gratitude to you wholeheartedly. With 125 units of free electricity, our electricity bill has become zero. We have also talked to many families present here, whose electricity bill has also come to zero. With this savings, we will be able to pay special attention to the health and education of our children. We all thank you for this.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said
Since 2005, the condition of electricity in the state was very bad. The capital Patna also did not have electricity for more than 7-8 hours. After the formation of our government in the state on 24 November 2005, a lot of work was done to improve the power sector. The budget of the Energy Department was increased and the power supply was increased. After this, electricity was delivered to all the villages and settlements of the state. In the year 2015, under the seven decision scheme, ‘every house electricity’ was started and the work of providing electricity to every house was completed in October 2018, two months ahead of the scheduled time. After this, electricity has been delivered to all the new houses or settlements built.
Solar energy is also promoted – Nitish
The Chief Minister said that ‘solar energy is also being promoted by the government and solar power plants have been set up on the roofs of all government buildings. Now we have also decided that all interested domestic consumers will be given the benefit of solar energy by the state government. He said that a dialogue program has been organized at many places across the state today. Around 16 lakh people are participating in today’s program. Along with this, the minister in charge of all the districts and other respected public representatives are also present in this program. Some domestic consumers have also expressed their views in the event.
