Delhi Blast Investigation Latest Update: New CCTV footage has emerged in the blast case near Red Fort, Delhi, in which a new CCTV footage of Dr. Omar blowing himself up with explosives has emerged. In which he is seen sitting in a mobile shop. This footage is from a mobile shop in Faridabad, in which two mobile phones are seen in his hand. He takes out a phone from the bag and gives it to the shopkeeper. The other phone remains on his knee. He looks nervous.

Umar was driving the car involved in the Delhi blasts.

Investigation has revealed that the Hyundai i20 car that was blown up in the blast was being driven by Dr. Umar, Assistant Professor of Al-Falah University, Faridabad. He died in the blast that took place on November 10.

Kashmir connection of 2,900 kg explosives

Investigating officers said that Dr. Umar was in touch with two other doctors, Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Shaheen. All three were found to be linked to the suspects involved in the Faridabad terror module, from where 2,900 kg of explosives were recovered. After the blast, raids took place throughout the night in Jammu and Kashmir. Three members of his family were arrested. After the blast, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted raids at several places throughout the night and arrested six people, three of whom are relatives of Dr. Omar.

Identification through DNA match

The remains recovered from the blast site were subjected to DNA testing and compared with his mother’s sample. The match was confirmed in the report. That means his death has been officially confirmed. Investigation also revealed that in the last two years, he had become a part of many radical online groups.

Funding of Rs 26 lakh, explosive made from NPK fertilizer

According to the police, this module had raised funding of more than ₹26 lakh. This amount was given directly to Dr. Umar, which he used to purchase 26 quintals of NPK fertilizer. This fertilizer was taken from suppliers in Gurugram and Nuh. NPK is used by mixing it with other chemicals to make IEDs. According to sources related to the investigation, about 8 suspects were preparing to carry out coordinated blasts in four different cities. Every city was to be attacked in pairs of two.
