He was the Minister of Science and Technology in the Government of Bihar. Janata Dal United had made him the candidate for Chakai assembly seat. Sumit Kumar Singh is among the senior leaders of Bihar. He is also the grandson of socialist leader Shri Krishna Singh. He is also considered close to Nitish. But this time he will not be a part of the cabinet.
Nitish Kumar’s minister lost to a woman candidate
Let us tell you that Nitish’s minister Sumit Kumar Singh has been defeated by RJD candidate Savitri Devi. Savitri Devi got 80,357 votes, while Sumit Kumar Singh got 67,385 votes. That means the difference of votes between the two was 12,972.
