South Africa vs Australia Live Cricket Scorecard: Dewald Brevis’ record-making century against Australia in the second T20I of the three-match series powered South Africa to a 53-run victory at the Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin on Tuesday.
Brevis’ breathtaking 125 off just 63 deliveries helped South Africa level the three-match series, breaking the hosts’ nine-game winning streak.
With a sharp display of pure striking, the 22-year-old whipped 12 fours and 8 sixes, effortlessly tearing apart the Australian bowling attack and guiding the Proteas to 218/4.

In the chase, Australia’s reply stuttered early as Aiden Markram removed dangerous batter Travis Head for five in the second over. After getting hit for two consecutive boundaries, Kwena Maphaka delivered a stunning delivery to remove Cameron Green for nine.
The chase was derailed again when captain Mitchell Marsh scored his way to 22 before holing out. Tim David’s belligerent counterattack ignited some fight in Australia’s chase. The right-hander scored his fifty in 23 balls, but Kagiso Rabada brought an end to his stay at the crease in the 10th over.
Glenn Maxwell, who has been struggling to regain his form, played a short cameo of 16 runs, while Mitchell Owen struggled to eight before being bowled.
Alex Carey contributed 26 runs, but the lower order collapsed. Australia were bowled out for 165 in 17.4 overs.

Put in to bat, South Africa began briskly, but they failed to keep the momentum in their favour as the side slumped to 57-3 inside seven overs.
Skipper Aiden Markram lost the wicket to part-time spinner Glenn Maxwell, caught at mid-off. Maxwell then removed Lhuan-dre Pretorius (10) stumped in his next over.
Brevis stitched up a defining partnership with Tristan Stubbs (31) and counter-attacked spectacularly to take South Africa to a competitive total.
