According to the Meteorological Department IMD, today is going to be a very challenging day in terms of heat because in many districts the temperature will be recorded much above normal and the effect of heat wave will remain continuous. Heat is highest in western and central UP, difficult to go out during the day
Heat will be at its peak in districts like Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Prayagraj and Banda. The temperature in Lucknow can reach around 42 degrees Celsius and there is a possibility of hot winds throughout the day. Conditions will be even hotter in Kanpur where the mercury can go up to 43 degrees. In Agra also the temperature will remain around 42 degrees with strong sunshine. The effect of heat wave will be clearly visible in Prayagraj and here too the temperature is likely to reach 43 degrees. At present, Banda is one of the hottest districts in the entire state where the temperature can go up to 44 degrees Celsius.
No relief in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Ballia and Basti, effect of heatwave continues.
The weather will also be hot and troublesome in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Ballia and Basti. The temperature in Varanasi will be around 42 degrees Celsius and strong sunlight will affect people throughout the day. The temperature in Gorakhpur will be around 41 degrees and the effect of hot winds will remain. The conditions will be almost similar in Ballia also where the temperature can reach 42 degrees. The weather in the colony will be dry and hot and people will have to face both humidity and heat wave.
Slightly stable weather in Western UP Meerut and Bareilly but no respite from heat
In districts like Meerut and Bareilly, the weather will remain relatively stable but the heat will not reduce. The temperature in Meerut will be between 39 to 40 degrees and the sky will be mostly clear. The conditions will be almost similar in Bareilly also where the temperature will remain around 40 degrees and sometimes light clouds may be seen.
Weather in Ayodhya and surrounding areas will be clear but hot
There will be clear sky and bright sunshine throughout the day in Ayodhya. The temperature is likely to remain around 40 degrees Celsius. The weather will be stable here but the heat may bother people.
There is little hope of relief in the coming days, heatwave is likely to continue
According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, the effect of heat wave will continue in many districts of Uttar Pradesh from 24 to 26 June. There may be a possibility of light clouds and very limited rain at some places, but widespread relief is not visible at the moment. That means, on June 23, the weather in Uttar Pradesh is going to be completely hot and challenging.
