On November 13, 2025, Botswana handed over 8 leopards to India. The historic moment took place in the presence of President Draupadi Murmu and Botswana Duma Speaker Gideon Boko. These cheetahs will now join their counterparts in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, and help restore the extinct cheetah population in India.
