New Delhi: A man has been arrested for uploading parts of Zubeen Garg’s last film, Roi Roi Binale, on YouTube without permission. The film, which made Rs 16 crore in just 12 days, is very important to many fans.

A man named Rafiqul Islam was arrested in Lakhipur, Goalpara district, for uploading video clips of Roi Roi Binale, Zubeen Garg’s last film, on his YouTube channel called Rafiqul R Vlogs. The film was released on October 31 and has earned Rs 16 crore so far, making it the highest-grossing film in the Assamese film industry. The arrest was made after a complaint by the film’s producer, Shyamantak Gautam, to the Cyber Police Station in Panbazar.

After being arrested, Rafiqul Islam was presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court and sent to police custody for three days. A case has been registered at the Cyber Police Station under several laws, including the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, the Information Technology Act, the Copyright Act, and the Cinematograph Act. The authorities are investigating the matter closely to make sure others don’t upload the film illegally.

Zubeen Garg, who was a popular singer known for hits like Ya Ali in Bollywood, passed away tragically on September 19 in Singapore. His death shocked fans everywhere because he drowned during a swimming outing near a festival venue, despite rescue efforts including CPR and hospital treatment. Thousands of fans came together for his final journey in Assam, and the Assam state government declared three days of mourning in his memory.

Zubeen Garg’s music was loved beyond Assam, as he sang in many languages and touched hearts all over India. After his sudden death, investigations have intensified. Assam Police and CID have registered many FIRs and are investigating the circumstances, including negligence and criminal conspiracy allegations involving festival organisers and the singer’s manager.
