A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Amreli district of Gujarat. Where a minor family dispute turned into murder. The incident took place on Tuesday evening, where a 60-year-old man was brutally attacked and killed by his wife’s brothers. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after this incident.
According to a report in The Times of India, the victim Dinesh Solanki, a resident of Gondal, was having a dispute with his wife. A month ago, he had even left the house after a fight with his wife. But on Tuesday he came to talk to his in-laws about reconciliation. But little did he know that he would murder those whom he was calling for reconciliation. Let us tell you that the victim was married 35 years ago and has three sons.

According to the FIR lodged by niece Manisha, Solanki’s two brothers-in-law, Kanji Savalia and Haku Savalia, arrived at around 6.30 pm to intervene. It is being told that within a few minutes the discussion became heated. When Manisha’s husband went out to buy something, Haku allegedly called three unidentified men to the spot along with other family members, Nanu, Bagha and Jadav. They arrived with weapons, Bagha had an iron pipe and Jadav had an ax in his hand. The group stormed the house. Bagha allegedly hit Solanki on the head with an iron pipe, causing him to fall to the ground. While Kanji and Haku stood guard outside, the others kept Solanki down. After this, Jadav and unknown people cut off both his legs with an axe. When Manisha screamed for help, she was pushed out and the attackers fled in a vehicle.
Went to in-laws’ house to reconcile…but murder took place
Critically injured Solanki was first taken to Amreli Civil Hospital and later admitted to Rajkot Civil Hospital for treatment. However, he died on Wednesday morning. Deputy Superintendent of Police Chirag Desai said the attack appeared to be related to the ongoing marital dispute between Solanki and his wife. “He had gone to talk to his in-laws about a family dispute. During the discussion, his five-year-old hit him with an iron pipe and caused fatal injuries on his legs,” he said. A forensic team has been called to investigate the incident and the police have started searching for the accused.

Wadiya police have registered a case against Kanji, Haku, Nanu, Bagha, Jadav and three unidentified people. Residents of Arjansukh village expressed shock at the brutality of the attack and said Solanki was known to be a quiet and polite person. Police officials said further investigation would reveal whether the attack was planned or carried out in anger during the meeting. As officials continue their search, Solanki’s tragic death has sent shock waves among the villagers and surrounding areas.
