The Classic 350 pack’s RE tried-and-tested 349cc air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out a maximum power of 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. In comparison, the Ronin uses a 225.9cc oil-cooled, four-valve engine that develops 20.12hp at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm at 3,750rpm. Although the neo-retro TVS has a much smaller engine, its peak power is slightly higher. The riding dynamics mark one of the biggest differences between the two bikes. Suspension-wise, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 uses 41mm telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. With a kerb weight of 195 kg, it feels stable at highway speeds and remains composed even during long-distance touring. However, the bike’s heavier build requires more effort while negotiating congested city traffic. The TVS Ronin comes with gold-finished upside-down (USD) front forks and a rear monoshock. It weighs just 159 kg, making it 36 kg lighter than the Classic 350.
