According to the police, the name of the accused woman is Mangrita Bhagat. She had recently returned to her village from Mumbai. She often had fights with her husband Santosh Bhagat (43). Even on the day of the incident, there was an argument between the two which soon turned into a violent fight. In anger, Mangrita attacked her husband several times with an iron hammer kept in the house. Santosh died on the spot. Then he wrapped the body in a blanket and kept it in a red suitcase inside the house.
‘I killed your father’ – why did the daughter have to tell this shocking thing?
After the murder, Mangrita called her middle daughter living in Korba and said in a cold tone, “I killed your father and kept the body in a suitcase at home.” As soon as the daughter and son-in-law heard this, they told their uncle Vinod Minj. He immediately informed the police. When the police reached the spot, they found a dead body wrapped in a blanket in a suitcase inside the house. Injuries were clearly visible on the face and hands. There were blood stains everywhere in the house, indicating a violent fight.
After all, where did Mangrita go?
According to family members, Mangrita was working in Mumbai for some time. After the incident she again fled to Mumbai. The police suspect that she is hiding there. Jashpur SSP Shashi Mohan Singh said that a case of murder has been registered against the woman under the section of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). A special team has been sent to Mumbai which can catch him soon.
