New Delhi. The suspicious death of Khushboo Ahirwar, a rising model from Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, has shaken the entire Madhya Pradesh. The family alleges that her lover Qasim Ahmed deceived her by revealing his identity as ‘Rahul’, then pressurized her for religious conversion and marriage. The police have arrested Qasim, but the question remains — was Khushboo’s death an accident or part of a planned conspiracy?

Who was ‘Rahul’ who later turned out to be Qasim?

According to Khushboo’s sister Tara Bai, she came to Bhopal in the year 2022 for studies and modeling. There he befriended a young man who called himself ‘Rahul’. A few months later, when Khushboo came to know his real identity as Qasim Ahmed, the direction of the relationship changed. The family claims that Qasim started pressurizing her to convert to Islam and marry him. When Khushboo refused, a series of beatings and abuses began.

Last call: “He is forcibly taking me to Ujjain”

The family says that on the night of November 8, around 11 pm, Khushboo called her sister Tara and told her that Qasim was forcibly taking her to Ujjain. There was no contact with Khushboo after the call was disconnected. The next day, her sister Preeti receives news that Khushboo has died – she was found dead on the bus. The family alleged that it was not just a coincidence but a planned conspiracy.

Aadhaar card photo changed – Khushboo seen in burqa!

The most shocking thing that came to light in the police investigation was that Qasim had changed the photo of Khushboo’s Aadhar card, in which she was seen in a burqa. The family has presented this photograph as evidence and said that it was Qasim’s way of creating ‘psychological pressure’ for religious conversion.

Police action: Case registered under several sections

  • Bhopal police arrested Qasim and booked him under sections 296, 115(2) and 351(2) of BNS.
  • Section 3/5 of Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act 2021,
  • And a case has been registered under section 3(2)(5)(k) of the SC/ST Act.
  • However, the police has clarified that the cause of Khushboo’s death will be decided only after the postmortem report and forensic investigation.
