There was a stir on the spot, NIA started investigation

The explosion took place near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort Metro Station. Many vehicles were hit by the blast. There was chaos, people were seen screaming and running. Police and NIA teams immediately reached the spot. Now NIA is investigating this matter and raids are going on in many states.

The conspiracy was being hatched for two years

According to police sources, this attack was not sudden but was part of a two-year-old conspiracy. The terror module was raising funds through encrypted channels and running the network under the guise of charitable organisations. According to the agencies, the motive behind this blast was to cause destruction on a large scale.

Two explosives and cartridges found, blast caused by ammonium nitrate

The FSL team has recovered two cartridges and two types of explosives from the spot. One of these is ammonium nitrate and the other is said to be even more deadly. So far, more than 40 samples have been collected for testing. In the initial investigation, use of fuel oil and detonator is also suspected.

Umar was alone in the car, route trace for 11 hours

According to officials, the person in the car was Omar. He had stayed in the parking lot of Sunehri Masjid for about three hours and was reading the news of the arrest of his associates in Faridabad. Police have identified the 11-hour route of Umar’s car. Investigation has also revealed that the blast probably occurred due to panic and not as a suicide attack.

Government announced compensation

The Delhi government has announced an assistance amount of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh to the seriously injured, and Rs 20,000 to the moderately injured.

Big conspiracy failed

Agencies believe that if the explosives packed in the car had been used in a planned manner, the damage could have been much greater. Due to the alertness of security agencies, the country was saved from a major accident.
