Aamir Khan-Faisal Khan Feud: Faisal Khan is once again in the headlines due to his long-running conflict with his brother, Bollywood star Aamir Khan, and other family members. The dispute has been marked by years of accusations and emotional statements. Until recently, Aamir had stayed silent on the matter. However, the situation escalated after Faisal alleged that his family kept him confined in Aamir’s house for a year and gave him medication against his will. Following his latest claims, the Khan family issued an official statement defending themselves. With the matter back in the spotlight, many are looking back at how the rift between the brothers began and what happened over the years.
Faisal Khan started his acting career as a child in Pyar Ka Mausam, later appearing in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak alongside Aamir Khan. The brothers worked together as leads in the 2000 film Mela. When the film failed at the box office, Faisal claimed that Aamir told him he was not a good actor and should consider another career path. Faisal said this comment deeply affected their relationship.

Meanwhile, between 2007 and 2008, Faisal was involved in a legal battle with his family. In an interview with Hindustan Times after the verdict, he alleged that his relatives spread false claims about him suffering from mental illness. He insisted he was healthy and accused Aamir and other family members of kidnapping him, placing him under house arrest, and forcing him to take medication. Faisal added that the court eventually ruled in his favour, declaring him mentally fit, capable of managing his own life, and entitled to be treated like any other adult.
On the other hand, in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Faisal repeated his allegation and shared, “They locked me up in Aamir’s house for a year, took away my phone, and posted a bodyguard outside my room. They gave me medicines, claiming I had paranoid schizophrenia.” He claimed the situation made him feel trapped and isolated from his entire family.

Additionally, according to FirstPost, the Khan family responded by expressing concern over Faisal’s “misleading portrayal” of his mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, his sister Nikhat Hegde, and Aamir Khan. They said this was not the first time Faisal had misrepresented events and felt the need to clarify their intentions. Despite the tensions, Faisal attended the 2024 wedding reception of Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare, where he was seen posing with Aamir’s son Junaid Khan. After a long break from acting, Faisal made his directorial debut in 2021 with the film Faactory.
