During the Sant Sammelan at Hari Seva Ashram, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized on Sanatan culture, spiritual heritage and development of Uttarakhand.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya and huge Saint Conference organized at Hari Seva Ashram on Monday. On this occasion, he greeted the saints and mahatmas present and appreciated the work being done by the Ashram in the field of social service, culture building and public awareness.
The Chief Minister said that Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is not just a religious event, but it is an important medium to connect the society with spiritual consciousness, moral values and the real purpose of life. He said that such stories spread positive energy and cultural awareness in the society.
Important contribution of Sant Samaj in nation building and cultural preservation
Chief Minister Dhami said that the Sant Samaj has been the main carrier of Indian culture, spiritual tradition and national consciousness. He said that in different periods of history, saints and sages have played an important role in giving right direction to the society as well as in nation building. He said that the contribution of Sant Samaj in preserving, promoting Sanatan culture and transmitting its values to the new generation has been incomparable. The role of saints is also important in maintaining morality and spirituality in the society.
A period of cultural renaissance under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is currently witnessing a new era of cultural renaissance. He said that works like construction of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, development of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Mahakal Lok Project in Ujjain and redevelopment of Kedarnath Dham are providing new energy to the spiritual heritage of India. He said that through these initiatives, the country’s cultural identity is getting new recognition at the global level and India is moving towards modern development along with its ancient traditions.
Efforts towards making Uttarakhand the spiritual capital of the world
Chief Minister Dhami said that the state government is making continuous efforts to establish Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of the world. He said that protecting the cultural heritage, spiritual identity and eternal values of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is among the top priorities of the government.
He said that under this objective, important decisions like anti-conversion law, Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and land law have been implemented in the state. Along with this, effective steps are also being taken to free the government land from encroachment and to further strengthen the law and order.
Special emphasis on connecting youth with Sanatan traditions
The Chief Minister said that the state government is taking many important initiatives to connect the new generation with Indian culture, traditions and philosophy. He informed that Center for Hindu Studies has been established in Doon University, where high level studies and research work will be done on subjects related to Indian philosophy, culture and civilization. Apart from this, the process of establishing Oriental Research Institute is also going on in Haridwar, which will play an important role in the preservation of Indian knowledge tradition and cultural heritage.
Resolve to make Uttarakhand the best state with the blessings of saints
Expressing his gratitude to Swami Harichetanand Ji Maharaj, Chief Minister Dhami urged the Sant Samaj to provide continuous guidance and blessings for the bright future of the state and the nation. He expressed confidence that with the blessings of the saints and the cooperation of the public, the resolution of making Uttarakhand the best state of the country will definitely be fulfilled. On this occasion, former Chief Minister and former Union Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Assembly Speaker Mrs. Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Cabinet Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj, Shri Pradeep Batra and many saints and dignitaries were present.
