Faridabad Terrorist Module: The mastermind of the terrorist module busted by police and security agencies in Faridabad, Haryana has been identified as Imam Irfan Ahmed. He is a resident of Shopian in Jammu and Kashmir. Irfan Ahmed is among the seven suspects arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police following the recovery of weapons and bomb-making chemicals in Faridabad and the November 10 blast near the Red Fort in Delhi.

According to sources, Irfan Ahmed played an important role in radicalizing medical students. He pushed the student towards the fundamentalist ideology of Islam. He was earlier a paramedical staff member at the Government Medical College, Srinagar. Sources said he was in contact with several students who met him at a mosque in Naugam.
Maulana was in contact with some people in Afghanistan also
Ahmed gradually influenced the medical students of Faridabad with radical ideas. According to sources, he was inspired by Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed. He also regularly showed Jaish-e-Mohammed videos to his students. Imam was also in touch with some people in Afghanistan through calls made through VOIP or data connections. According to sources, its aim was to deeply inculcate extremist thinking in the minds of students.
Had deep relations with Delhi blast accused Umar Nabi
It is believed that the entire terrorist module was conceptualized by Imam Irfan Ahmed. After the Faridabad terrorist module was exposed, Mohammad Umar Un Nabi had carried out the Delhi blast in panic. Umar himself was also killed in this suicide attack. He had deep relations with Maulvi Irfan Ahmed.
