Delhi School Hybrid Classes 2025: In view of the continuously deteriorating air quality in Delhi-NCR, the Education Department has taken a big decision. Now the education of students up to class 5 will be conducted in hybrid mode i.e. both online and offline. This order has been implemented with immediate effect. This decision has been taken following the instructions of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), which has asked to take several strict measures under GRAP Stage 3 (Severe Category).

What is the new order of the Directorate of Education?

The order issued by the Directorate of Education is signed by Director of Education Vedita Reddy (IAS). It has been said in the order that due to the worsening air quality of Delhi-NCR, all necessary steps will have to be taken under Stage-3 i.e. Severe so that the situation does not worsen further. From now on, all government, aided and private schools associated with Delhi, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD), Delhi Cantonment Board and Directorate of Education have been instructed to run hybrid classes.

How will the hybrid classes be?

Hybrid mode means that some children will come to school and study offline, while the rest will be able to take online classes from home. Every school has been instructed to immediately inform this information to parents and students, so that no student is deprived of studies.

Why was this decision taken

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi continues to remain in the severe category. Dangerous levels of pollution can have adverse effects on the health of small children in particular. That is why the government has made this temporary change in schools so that children can continue their education while keeping them safe from pollution. A copy of the order has been sent to all concerned education departments and boards and officials have been instructed to strictly follow it.
