After the box office success of ‘Border 2’, Jaypee Films now seems to be entering its most ambitious phase. Producer Nidhi Dutta has announced five big projects for the studio, which include ‘Border 3’, a biopic on Indo-Pak war hero General Harbaksh Singh, an Air Force drama based on Operation Sindoor, a treasure hunt franchise inspired by Indian history and mythology and a digital series on the life of her grandfather OP Dutta. The lineup is not just limited to war and patriotism, but is also set to bring family heritage, adventurous adventures and untouched chapters of Indian history to the big screen.
Work started on ‘Border 3’
The most talked about name in the new slate of Jaypee Films is ‘Border 3’. According to the report, the film is in the early development stage and is being developed in collaboration with Bhushan Kumar. General Harbaksh Singh’s story will come on the big screen
Jaypee Films is also developing a biopic on war hero General Harbaksh Singh in another ambitious project. General Harbaksh Singh commanded the Indian Army during the India-Pakistan War of 1965 and was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1966 for his contributions. According to Nidhi Dutta, “The film will bring an important chapter of Indian military history to a new generation as well as tell the story of a man whose bravery changed the course of history.”
Air Force drama to be made on ‘Operation Sindoor’
The third project with a military background will be a contemporary drama based on the Indian Air Force. The film will focus on the events during and after ‘Operation Sindoor’. The story will not be limited to just war and action, but will also show the emotional challenges of the soldiers and their families. Nidhi Dutta said, “The film will certainly have huge action and visual scale, but its real soul is a human story of duty, family and sacrifice.”

Bet on Treasure Hunt franchise for the first time
Jaypee Films is going to step into a big treasure hunt action-adventure universe for the first time. The film will be inspired by Indian history and mythology and is being developed as a three-part franchise. Nidhi Dutta said, “This is likely to be our first film that will go on floors first. I have written such a story for the first time and it is a franchise film, which will have two more parts.” The film is being seen as a new and big experiment for the studio.
Digital series will be made on family heritage
The most emotional and personal project of the new slate will be a digital series based on OP Dutta. OP Dutta was a famous writer of Indian cinema and father of JP Dutta. Nidhi Dutta says that this project will reflect the legacy of her family and the studio. He said, “It will be a story of struggle, passion, family and unwavering faith in cinema despite all the challenges. It will also bring forward the journey of my family’s legacy.”
