Kerala Cricket League Season 2 is set to start from August 22 as six teams will fight for supremacy in the tournament.
But ahead of that, a friendly cricket match will be held at the Thiruvananthapuram Greenfield Stadium on August 15th, ahead of the second season of the Kerala Cricket League.
The match will start at 7:30 pm, coinciding with the inauguration of the stadium’s renovated floodlights. The match will be between KCA Secretary’s XI led by Kerala’s beloved star and India player Sanju Samson and KCA President’s XI led by Sachin Baby, the captain of the Kerala Ranji team.
Sanju Samson’s team includes Krishna Prasad, Vishnu Vinod, Salman Nisar, Shawn Roger, Ajnas M, Sijomon Joseph, Basil Thampi, Basil NP, Akhil Scaria, Fanoos F, Mohammed Innan, Sharafudheen NM, and Akhin Sathar.
Sachin Baby’s team includes Rohan Kunnummal, Mohammed Azharuddeen, Ahmed Imran, Abhishek J Nair, Abdul Bazith, Biju Narayanan, Ethan Apple Tom, Nidheesh MD, Abhijith Praveen, Asif KM, S Midhun, Vinod Kumar CV, and Sachin Suresh.
With prominent players from the state clashing in an exciting match for cricket fans, this will be an exciting start to the new season of the Kerala Cricket League. Samson is set to play in the KCL for the first time and became the most expensive buy of the auction, as Kochi Blue Tigers bought him for Rs 26.75 lakh.
