8 killed and 24 injured in car blast near Red Fort in Delhi. This is the latest incident in a series of blasts that have occurred in the city since 1997. In the last two decades, Delhi has faced several major blasts in areas like ITO, Sarojini Nagar, Sansad and Jama Masjid.

Third explosion at Red Fort after 1997
- January 9, 1997: 50 people were injured in a bomb blast in front of Delhi Police Headquarters at ITO.
- October 1, 1997: 30 people were injured in two bomb blasts near a procession in Sadar Bazaar area.
- October 10, 1997: One person was killed and 16 injured in three bomb blasts in Shantivan, Kaudiya Bridge and Kingsway Camp areas.
- October 18, 1997: One person was killed and 23 others were injured in twin bomb blasts in Rani Bagh market.
- October 26, 1997: One person was killed and 34 were injured in a twin bomb blast in Gaffity Market, Karol Bagh.
- November 30, 1997: Three people were killed and 70 injured in twin blasts in the Red Fort area.
- December 30, 1997: A bomb blast in a bus near Punjabi Bagh killed four passengers and injured about 30.
- July 26, 1998: Two people were killed and three were injured in a high-density explosion in a bus parked at the Interstate Bus Terminal (ISBT) at Kashmiri Gate.
- June 18, 2000: Two people, including an 8-year-old girl, were killed and about a dozen others were injured in two powerful bomb blasts near the Red Fort in Delhi.

- September 27, 2008: Three people were killed and 21 injured in a low-intensity blast in the Mehrauli flower market near Qutub Minar.
- May 25, 2011: Minor explosion in a car parking outside Delhi High Court, no casualties.
- January 29, 2021: Minor explosion near Israeli Embassy. No serious damage of any kind.
- November 10, 2025: A bomb blast in a car near Subhash Nagar traffic signal near the Red Fort. 10 people died and 24 were injured.
