AIIMS Dengue Virus Discovery: Delhi AIIMS scientists have done research to know the cause behind how dengue virus harms the body compared to normal fever. Let us tell you that dengue not only has body pain or high fever, but it is a clever virus which gradually weakens the body’s safety structure. The question arises that how the dengue virus has become so clever and can the body recognize it and stop it, can this virus be eliminated?
Recently, scientists from AIIMS, New Delhi discovered how the dengue virus uses the special protein RBMX present in a body for its edge. This protein helps in increasing dengue virus. Here is our security system i.e. the molecule that prevents the external virus from entering the body called MIR-133A. This molecule prevents RBMX and dengue virus (if attack) from growing inside the body.
Journal of Medical Virology This research was published in which it is told that it is told how dengue virus makes its replica and weakens MIR-133A. After which the RBMX virus increases. This is a kind of fight that is going on in the body, all this happens in the first few hours of attacking the body of a dengue virus.
Does the body lose in this fight?
The doctors of AIIMS treated it through a research in which the number of MIR-133A molecules in infected cells was increased in an artificial manner, which caused difficulty in increasing the dengue virus. Research also revealed that when the number of MIR-133A was increased, the virus could not easily replicate itself.
What did scientists find?
According to Dr. Bhupendra Verma, lead scientist of the Department of Biotechnology of AIIMS,There is a kind of tug of war inside our cells. The dengue virus draws to one side so that it can grow and pulls our body to the other way so that it can be stopped. If we support body protector like MIR-133A, then we can stop the virus before doing more damage. ” In lab tests, when the MIR-133A is artificially increased or blocked the RBMX, the virus is in trouble.
Can dengue be stopped?
Research scientists said that this is not an issue to solve any jokes. It may take time now. Because there is no special medicine to stop dengue right now, treatment is done by just seeing symptoms. But if the result of this research is focused, a medicine to stop the virus can be made, so the dengue virus can also be eliminated from the root.
