Faridabad RDX Recovery: Jammu and Kashmir Police has got a major success against the terror network. Police have recovered 300 kg of RDX, an AK-47 rifle and a large quantity of ammunition from National Capital Region Faridabad. This action was taken on the basis of interrogation of an arrested Kashmiri doctor Adil Ahmed Rather. Even before this, the police had seized weapons and cartridges from his locker in Kashmir.
How the entire network was exposed
According to the police, Dr. Adil Ahmed Rather was being detained and interrogated. During this time, he informed about hiding explosive materials and weapons in Faridabad. The locations mentioned by him were raided and security agencies recovered huge quantities of RDX and weapons from there. This recovery is considered to be the biggest action taken in the last several years.
Another doctor’s role revealed
During the investigation, the name of another doctor has come to light, who has been identified as Dr. Mumajil Shakeel, who is a resident of Koil area of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police suspect that he played an important role in storing explosives and weapons and keeping them safe in Faridabad. Both the doctors have now been brought to Jammu and Kashmir for questioning, where in-depth information about the network is being taken from them.
For what purpose was such a large quantity of RDX collected?
The priority of the investigating agencies is to understand for which major attack the 300 kg RDX and weapons were to be used. Security officials suspect that this network was planning a major attack outside Jammu and Kashmir, for which Delhi-NCR was being used as a logistics base.

Police and central agencies are now trying to get to the root of this entire module. Under this, who was the source of supply of explosives, where was the funding coming from and who else is involved in it. The investigation into all these questions is ongoing. Authorities have indicated that more arrests may be made in the coming days.
Security increased in Delhi-NCR
After this recovery, security has been tightened in Delhi and surrounding areas. Additional surveillance has been increased at railway stations, bus stands, airports and crowded areas. Coordination between intelligence agencies has also been intensified so that any suspicious activity can be stopped immediately.
