Once again a road accident took away the happiness of a family in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. A 50-year-old woman died on the spot, while her son was seriously injured in a horrific collision between a truck and a motorcycle near Kandaur on the Mataur-Shimla National Highway. The frequent road accidents in the state have created deep concern in the minds of people regarding road safety.
A horrific collision occurred near Kandaur.
According to the information received from the police, truck number HP-67-7044 hit motorcycle number PB-08EB-3653 near Kandaur. Mohit Sharma, son of late Kuldeep Sharma, resident of Balhi Jhalera Post Office, Binaula Tehsil Sadar Bilaspur, who was driving the motorcycle, was seriously injured in the accident. His 50-year-old mother Pushpa Devi, who was sitting pillion on the bike with son Mohit, died on the spot. There was an outcry on the spot after the accident. Police and local people immediately reached the spot and the injured were taken to Regional Hospital Bilaspur.
Case registered against truck driver
The truck responsible for the accident was being driven by Ashwini Kumar, resident of Subhash Nagar Post Office Mohi Tehsil Hamirpur. The police have registered a case against the accused driver and started investigation. The body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem. The matter has been confirmed by DSP Bilaspur Madan Dhiman.
Police reached the spot and took possession of the body and started further investigation. Due to the death of the woman and the injury of the son, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the family. The family cannot believe that one of their family members is no more in this world.
