The holy festival of the birth of Shri Krishna, Janmashtami is celebrated with gaiety in the whole country, while Indians settled all over the world celebrate it with joy. Kanha was born to the destruction of unrighteousness from Devaki ji’s womb in Mathura, Kanha. Devotees observe fast on Shri Krishna’s birth anniversary and at 12 o’clock at night, they are offered Bhog with the worship of Kanha ji at birth. Many people complain that they are made hard to make them, so let’s know the perfect recipe to make saffron peda for Janmashtami.
Saffron Peda making ingredients
For this you will need mawa i.e. lost, about 2 cups. Apart from this, take half a cup of ground sugar, one-fourth teaspoon of green cardamom powder or 5-6 cardamom, 1 fourth short spoon saffron i.e. 8-9 threads, a little desi ghee, 8-10 pistachios. Let’s know the traditional way of making peda.

Prepare like this
First of all, soak saffron in four teaspoons of milk in a bowl and keep it aside. Make a sawdust with the hands of the mawa and prepare it by applying desi ghee in a plate. If there are whole cardamom, then separate the peels and grind and make powder. Peel the pistachios and keep it finely.
Saffron Peda Recipe
Fry the mawa on a wide and heavy bottom non-stick pan or a pan on medium flame continuously till it becomes golden. If the utensils become more hot, take the heat. Now spread it in a plate with ghee and leave it to cool for 20 minutes. When the mawa cools down completely, then saffron milk in it. Add cardamom powder and ground sugar. Mash it well and then cover it with a cling rap and keep it in the fridge for some time (about 25 minutes). After this, remove it well and then make it as a favorite peda. Garnish it with pistachio.
