Vijay had announced in February 2024 that he would enter politics after completing his ongoing projects The Greatest of All Time and Thalapathy 69. The film was later titled Jana Nayagan and the first-look poster was revealed on Republic Day, showing Vijay taking a selfie amidst a huge crowd. Due to this his image was promoted as a public man.
