According to box office data, ‘Cocktail 2’ earned around ₹17.75 crore on its third day of release. This is a better performance than ₹13.50 crore on Day 1 and ₹16.25 crore on Day 2. With this, the total India gross collection of the film has reached ₹57 crore and India net collection has reached ₹47.50 crore. Weekend growth has put the film in a strong position. In the overseas market, the film made a gross collection of Rs 19.25 crore in three days, due to which the worldwide gross collection of the film has become Rs 76.25 crore.
Shahid Kapoor’s career got a big support
‘Cocktail 2’ has brought relief news for Shahid Kapoor. The film has overtaken the lifetime net collection of ₹34.37 crore of his 2025 release ‘Deva’. However, the film is yet to surpass the lifetime collection of its 2012 debut ‘Cocktail’ of around ₹71 crore. Trade experts believe that if the current pace continues, the film can soon achieve this feat.
The new story is different from 2012’s ‘Cocktail’
Although ‘Cocktail 2’ is being called a spiritual sequel of ‘Cocktail’ released in 2012, its story is completely different. The first film starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in lead roles. This time director Homi Adajania has presented a new story of relationships through new characters and new circumstances.
