Raksha ka Bandhan –Suraksha Har Safar Mein

This Raksha Bandhan, Tata Motors took the festival of protection beyond homes and into the lifelines of our nation — the highways. Through the special initiative Raksha ka Bandhan , the women of Tata Motors’ all-women Durga Line in Jamshedpur poured their hearts into crafting rakhis and writing personal messages for truck drivers they may never meet — but care about every single day.

These women are part of the team that builds India’s safest trucks, introducing advanced active and passive safety technologies to protect both the driver and the cargo. For them, every driver is family, every journey matters, and every safety innovation is an act of care.

The rakhis travelled hundreds of kilometres to Kalamboli Transport Nagar in Navi Mumbai, where they were tied to the wrists of truck drivers — India’s saarthis — who tirelessly keep the nation moving. For these drivers, the gesture was more than symbolic; it was a reminder that someone is looking out for them on every road they travel.

From crash-tested cabins to mass adoption of technologies like Hill Start Assist and Engine Brakes to introduction of advanced optional safety enhancing features like Electronic Stability Control & ADAS— Tata Motors continues its journey to make the safest trucks for Indian drivers. Because when bonds are built from the heart, safety too comes from the heart.
