Janmashtami: The main Janmashtami holiday is on Saturday, August 16, 2025, which is already a bank holiday for most banks due to it being the third Saturday of the month. The festival is celebrated on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada.
