Up monsoon session: The monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly began on Monday amid noise and slogans. Samajwadi Party MLAs protested fiercely over various issues, while BSP chief Mayawati gave simultaneous advice to both the government and the opposition through social media. He said that the session should not be limited to formalities, but it should be made useful in public interest.
Why did Mayawati give this advice?
Mayawati wrote in her post that the session is small, but it should be used for serious discussion on important issues related to the public. He urged that both the government and the opposition should move forward in the state and country interest except political selfishness, malice and bitterness. Referring to the current monsoon session of Parliament, he said that the action is not going on in peace, due to which the discussion on important issues of the public remains incomplete.

Concern over American tariff and economy
Mayawati also expressed concern over the possible impact on the country’s economy and development over American tariffs. He said that this is an important issue related to the future of the country, which cannot be taken lightly. There should be serious thinking in Parliament on this.
Questions raised on EVM and voter list
The BSP chief also said that the doubts that are spreading in the country on the issues related to the voter list, its revision and EVMs should be removed as soon as possible, so that people’s trust in democracy is strengthened. This time the monsoon session is going to make a record. From 11 am on August 13, ‘Developed India, Developed UP Vision Document 2047’ will be discussed for 24 hours continuously. In this, the government will keep its achievements and schemes, while the opposition will give its questions and suggestions. Apart from this, many important bills including Banke Bihari Corridor Ordinance and Higher Education can also be passed in this session.
