Bengaluru Crime: A case has come to light from Kugur village in Bengaluru Rural district, which reminds of the famous film Drishyam. While the story of hiding a murder is shown in the film, in this incident an attempt was made to hide the murder of a woman in real life with a film-like conspiracy. 68-year-old Bhadramma, considered a well-respected and good-natured woman in the village, went missing suddenly on October 30. The family lodged a police complaint after hours of searching. The investigation of the incident revealed a truth which shocked the entire village.

Called in the name of feeding Kajjaya, then hatched a dreadful conspiracy

On October 29, Deepa, who lives in the neighbourhood, called Bhadramma and invited her home. She said that the festival sweet Kajjaya has been prepared at home and the arrival of Bhadramma will be auspicious. As soon as Bhadramma reached Deepa’s house, she was murdered. Police investigation revealed that accused Deepa had her eyes on Bhadramma’s gold jewelery for a long time. During interrogation, Deepa admitted that she murdered Bhadramma just to get her jewellery.

Like the movie Drishyam, the body was hidden in the house for two days.

After the murder, the accused kept the body hidden in his house for two days. When the smell of the dead body started increasing, she put the body in a car and threw it into Thimmasandra Lake and fled the village. When Bhadramma did not return home till evening, the family lodged a missing complaint at Sarjapur police station. After this the police started CCTV footage and interrogation in the village. During this time Deepa became suspicious. When he was caught and interrogated strictly, he confessed to the murder.

Dead body recovered, mourning in village

On the example of Deepa, the police recovered a partially decomposed body from the lake, which was identified by the family. This news was no less than a shock for the local people. This entire case is being headed by Bengaluru Rural Additional SP Venkatesh Prasanna. A case has been registered and further action is underway.
