IND vs ENG, Jasprit Bumrah Comeback in ODI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the three-match ODI series to be played on the England tour. BCCI has selected a strong team for this series starting from 14th July. With this tour, the Indian team will also start its mission for the ODI World Cup to be held in the year 2027. The biggest and relieving news of this team selection is the return of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who is returning to the ODI format after years.

Bumrah’s roar after 3 years, start of Mission 2027

Jasprit Bumrah is going to make a comeback in ODI cricket after almost three years. He played his last ODI match in the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia in Ahmedabad, where India had to face defeat. After this, the selection committee of BCCI had given rest to Bumrah from this format to manage his workload and keep him completely fit. Now completely refreshed, Jasprit Bumrah is ready to wreak havoc on the field against England.

Bumrah is the biggest threat to England

Jasprit Bumrah’s entry into the team is no less than a nightmare for the English batsmen. Bumrah’s old record against the English team has been quite fatal. Bumrah has played 7 ODI matches against England so far, in which he has taken 17 wickets at an excellent economy of 5.88. During this period, he has also achieved the feat of taking 5 wickets in a match once. When it comes to England’s pitches, Bumrah becomes even more dangerous. In the 16 ODI matches played there, he has taken 30 wickets at an economical economy of only 4.52.
